Meet your guide

Howzit, I’m Keoki — born and raised in Hana, Maui.

I come from a big family (eight of us kids!), and growing up, life was all about the land and the ocean. I learned to hunt and fish from my dad, uncles, and the ancestral knowledge passed down for generations — not just how to take an animal, but how to respect it, clean it, and use every part of it.

Outside of hunting, I trained in jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai, and I’ve always enjoyed building things with my hands. I spend a lot of time doing carpentry, and I also operate heavy equipment — clearing land, working the ʻāina, and staying active in all the ways that keep me rooted.

When I am not outfitting, my wife and I run Hana Bowls together, an açaí bowl trailer up the road. I’m also a proud uncle to a bunch of nieces and nephews that I love like they’re my own. They’re a big part of why I do this — to pass down the lifestyle, the skills, and the respect for the land that I was raised with.

I started Maui Hunting Expedition to share what I grew up on — real hunting, clean food, and deep connection to this island. Whether you’re from Maui or visiting with respect, I’m stoked to take you out and show you the side of Hawaiʻi most people never get to see.
